Fratello Law

Carrie A. Arias

Senior Attorney

Carrie Arias assists clients with legal needs in the areas of Elder Law, Special Needs and Medicaid Planning and Guardianships. She has found her passion in guiding clients through the often complex legal issues associated with aging, disabilities and managing the cost of care.

Carrie manages the Special Needs, Medicaid and Guardianship department, including Medicaid planning, asset protection and the Medicaid application to cover the cost of care in the home, assisted living and nursing homes. As a caregiver herself to aging loved ones, she truly understands the difficulty in navigating the process of proper placement, care and managing the needs of our seniors or those with disabilities.

Carrie was born and raised in San Diego, CA, where she developed her love for the ocean, hiking and outdoors.  Throughout her youth, she dedicated her time to working with children as a counselor, activity director and instructor.  She later incorporated her love for adventure as a travel agent.  She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA before attending University of San Diego, School of Law.

Before joining Fratello Law, Carrie enjoyed a legal career in Civil Litigation in California. Carrie was the managing attorney for the San Diego office of Dale, Braden & Hinchcliffe, where she specialized in insurance defense and construction defect litigation.  After moving to New York in 2005, she transitioned to Director of Business Development and Legal Compliance for the Northeast Region for DBH Resources, a sister company of the same law firm.  A sudden and personal experience with a family member inspired a change in focus on Elder Law, which brought her to Fratello Law.

Carrie lives with her husband, two sons and dog, Kota, in Port Jefferson Station. She is actively involved in the Comsewogue School District and Comsewogue Youth Lacrosse. When she is not practicing law, she is usually on the sidelines watching her boys play lacrosse. She loves travel, hiking, kayaking and enjoying nature.

Carrie is admitted to practice law in New York and California.
